Objective

My goal is to find employment where I can express my design skills and be a beneficial part of a company. I have developed a good insight into the play industry through my current employment, although I would not like to restrict myself to this sector. I am comfortable in all aspects of design such as concepts and brainstorming, 3D modeling and product development, design for manufacture, visualization etc…

Experience

PPL Ltd. – August 2003 – Present

Product Designer & Estimator.  Responsibilities include…..

· Using AutoCAD, 3ds MAX, 3ds VIZ, Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator  & Autodesk Inventor on a daily basis

· Estimating and pricing up large schemes from scratch and providing quotations to local authorities, Parish councils, Schools etc.

· Responsible for all graphic design and publications within the company, ie. Brochures, flyers, advertisements, and presenting customers with 3D graphical illustrations of potential schemes.

· Design of new products from scratch for our play equipment and furniture range. I am envolved in all aspects of design, such as concept, drawing up in CAD packages to produce bill of materials and parts lists, estimating costs, providing sales material such as graphic images and product certification & testing.

· Running of the company website, including news updates, product updates, SEO management and Google Adwords.

· General running of the drawing office including duties such as managing the drawing system and company database.

· HNC Mechanical Design.

· BA honours 2.1 degree in Product design.

· Autodesk Inventor 8 training.

1998 – 2000 Keighley College

· BTEC National Diploma in Product design.

· NVQ Level 2 in Engineering basic training. including Bench fitting, milling, lathe work & technical drawing.

· 9 GCSE’s grade A to C

· Experienced in PC & MAC.

· Fluent in all Microsoft Office applications.
